Your treatment is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and may incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, selected based on your assessment and discussed treatment plan. TMJD Massage
TMJD (temporomandibular dysfunction) focused Massage Therapy addresses the muscles and soft tissues involved in jaw function, including the jaw, face, temples, neck, and upper shoulders. Treatment may include external and, when appropriate, intraoral techniques, along with gentle stretching and movement, based on your individual assessment, concerns, and goals.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage Therapy is adapted to your comfort and stage of pregnancy, with appropriate positioning, pressure, and techniques. Treatment can be performed side-lying or with our supportive pregnancy pillow, allowing you to find the position that feels most comfortable for you.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage Therapy is tailored to your individual needs, focusing on areas of muscular tension, discomfort, or restricted movement. Your RMT may use a combination of techniques and pressure levels based on your assessment, preferences, and treatment goals.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage uses flowing, rhythmic techniques with light to moderate pressure to promote relaxation, ease general muscular tension, and support overall well-being. Your RMT can adjust the pressure and focus areas to suit your preferences.
Indian Head Massage
Rooted in traditional Indian massage practices, Indian Head Massage has evolved into various approaches, including the Champissage™ method developed by Narenda Mehta. At NUOVA, our Indian Head Massage focuses on incorporating rhythmic and gentle techniques to the head, scalp, face, neck, shoulders, and upper back, complemented by warm oil, hot towels, and an essential oil of your choice.
Pediatric Massage
Pediatric Massage Therapy at NUOVA is available for children 4 years of age and older and is adapted to their age, individual needs, and comfort level. Gentle, age-appropriate techniques may help promote relaxation, support comfortable movement, and ease general muscular tension associated with every activities, sports, or growing bodies. NUOVA does not provide infant massage.
